I am American so I dont know what the laws are in your country, but here’s some advice.
I would suggest that you speak to the person who performed the ceremony or to the registrar. They would know if the person who performed the ceremony has the legal right to sign some certificate of marriage that is recognized as valid by the registrar’s office.
In America, each state decides who may perform a valid marriage - judges, ministers, priests, rabbis, etc. Then the state licenses these people who are then required by law to send in a signed certificate of marriage to the county after each ceremony they perform. The married couple never has to worry about it. The couple just gets the marriage license in the mail after it has been duly recorded.
Ask! Maybe you can get one in your country even if you ARE female.
Geez….Once again, I have ANOTHER reason for being glad I live in America. I have the same legal rights as any man.

I would go to the courthouse, and I believe it’s $10 for a copy, just show your id.
